FIFTH ANNUAL SOCCER TOURNAMENT IN HOUSTON

“KOSOVO IS SERBIA ”

GREAT FOOD AND LIVE MUSIC MAY 17^th & 18^th 2008

 

Dear Brothers and Sisters:

Our St. Sava Church is organizing its fifth annual soccer tournament on May 17^th & 18^th 2008.

            This event is supporting the construction of our new church building. Soccer teams from Houston , Austin , Fort Worth , Dallas will co mpet e. Each team has 7 players. The registration fee is $20.00 per player. Everyone is welcome to participate. Also, we will have soccer co mpet itions for our youngsters, boys and girls, ages 5-16, (registration is free). In addition, there will be competitions in:

VOLLEY BALL

Registration fee is $10.00 per player. Both male & female teams can co mpet e.

CHESS

Both male & female co mpet itors. The registration fee is $10.00 for each player.

BOCCE

Both male & female co mpet itors. The registration fee is $10.00 for each player.

SATURDAY May 17^th SCHEDULE OF EVENTS: Soccer games will start at 9:00am. During the tournament, we will have grilled foods available as well as refreshing, ice cold beverages. After the co mpet itions around 4:00pm. , there will be a break until 7:30pm to prepare for our evening dance party. Vesper Service will begin at 7:30pm followed by a dance party with live music. Admission is free. This will be a wonderful time to get together for fun, great food and live music.

SUNDAY May 18^TH SCHEDULE OF EVENTS:             The Divine Liturgy will begin at 10:00 am. Please be on time. Afterwards, finals for the first, second and third place of our soccer co mpet ition will continue. Food and refreshments will be available. After the games are completed, we will have our closing ceremony and trophies will be awarded to the winners. Our youngsters will also receive trophies.
