THE SYMBOL OF FAITH

I believe in One God, the Father Almighty, Maker of heaven and earth, and of all things visible and invisible.

And in One Lord Jesus Christ, the Son of God, the only begotten, begotten of the Father before all ages; Light to Light, true God of true God, begotten, not made; of one essence with the Father, by whom all things were made;

Who for us men and for our salvation, came down from the heavens, and was incarnate of the Holy Spirit and the Virgin Mary, and became man; And was crucified for us under Pontius Pilate, and suffered and was buried;

And rose again on the third day, according to the Scriptures;

And ascended into the heavens, and sitteth at the right hand of the Father;

And shall come again with glory to judge both the living and the dead; Whose kingdom shall have no end;

And in the Holy Spirit, the Lord, the Giver of Life, who proceedeth from the Father, who togheter with the Father and the Son is worshipped and glorified, Who spoke by the prophets.

I confess one baptism for the remission of sins.

I look for the resurrection of the dead.

And the life of the age to come. Amen.

THE TEN COMMANDMENTS

(Exodus, 20:2-17)

1. I am the Lord thy God... Thou shall have no other gods before Me.

2. Thou shall not make unto the any graven image, or any likeness of anything that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth. Thou shall not bow down thyself to them, nor serve them.

3. Thou shall not take the name of the Lord thy God in vain.

4. Remember the Sabbath day, to keep it holy. Six days shall thou labor and do all thy work, but the seventh day is the Sabbath of the Lord thy God.

5. Honor thy father and thy mother, that thy days may be long upon the land which the Lord thy God giveth thee.

6. Thou shall not kill.

7. Thou shall not commit adultery.

8. Thou shall not steal.

9. Thou shall not bear false witness against thy neighbor.

10. Thou shall not covet neighbor's house, wife... nor anything that is thy neighbor's.

THE GREATEST IN THE LAW

1. Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind.

2. Thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself.
